The World's First Health Manual

As I have spent 5 years in deep research about the root cause of dis-ease, it all seems to boil down to getting rid of processed foods, addressing stress, and significantly upping our intake of fruits and vegetables. No matter if it is related to autoimmunity, bacteria, or viruses, most people have turned their health issues around using whole food as medicine. This year, I have been exploring what the Bible says about Health for a presentation in January. In my research, there is a "Blue Zone" of centenarians who live in Loma Linda, California. This group lives a way of life that the Bible encourages, and most of them live longer than most. I see Facebook posts of people turning heart disease around by eating mainly fruits and vegetables. In Genesis 1:29, God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. Dr. Mark Hyman, a functional medicine Physician at the Cleveland clinic has been quoted as advising, "eat mostly fruits and vegetables with a little bit of meat." It just shows that even though the Old Testament is 3-5,000 years old, the Word is still applicable today, and I think it was meant for all of us to show us the proper way to live, not just in behavior but also in keeping us healthy. Man thinks it can do better by engineering food, but we are a nation that is sicker than ever. Maybe we should go back to the Source and focus on where we came from.
